VETTÄ NORDIC SPA

Vettä Nordic Spa announced today that it is offering a $30 savings on weekday Nordic Spa access to all Ontario teachers and education workers.
The regular price weekday Nordic Spa pass is $89 (plus HST), meaning Ontario teachers and education workers will be able to experience Vettä for $59 (plus HST).
Vettä president and founder Eric Harkonen said the Oro-Medonte-based business wants to express its gratitude to the thousands of Ontario teachers and education workers who have faced so many challenges in recent years.
“My vision for Vettä is that it be a place for relaxing, recharging and reconnecting. In May we recognized hospital workers. This summer is all about the teachers. It’s their turn. That’s why we’re offering them more than one-third off our regular pricing. It’s our way of saying thank you,” said Harkonen.
Vettä Nordic Spa, located in Horseshoe Valley, opened 18 months ago and is proud to celebrate sauna culture: the age-old Finnish tradition of hydrotherapy consisting of alternating between periods of hot, cold, and relaxation — which can boost immunity and improve overall well-being -being.
Harkonen’s Finnish heritage and northern Ontario roots are part of the inspiration behind Vettä.
“At Vettä Nordic Spa, we are inspired by the Finnish tradition. Growing up in northern Ontario, I learned that sauna time was an essential element of a healthy work-life balance. The benefits are proven. It not only creates a relaxation unlike any other, but it’s also an opportunity for folks to reconnect. Finns say that if enemies take a sauna together, they emerge as friends. It’s the magic of saunas. Whatever the problem, just sweat it out.”
The special summer vacation savings are in effect until Aug. 31, 2023, and applies to all active Ontario teachers and education workers at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary levels in all roles for Monday-to-Friday Nordic spa access. Participants who wish to take advantage of the offer should book their Nordic spa access online and present their employee photo ID badge to guest services upon arrival at Vettä to receive their ‘thank you’ savings.
“Especially since the beginning of the pandemic, teachers and education workers have been through the wringer. This is our way of saying, ‘Thanks. Come recharge and reconnect.’ My wish is that as many teachers as possible discover the restorative nature of Finnish sauna culture,” added Harkonen.
